CBD Oil For Pain Management

Unlike many pharmaceutical drugs, CBD has a versatile list of benefits and can treat or alleviate the symptoms of a variety of ailments. Also unlike pharmaceuticals, it doesn’t come with an extensive repertoire of severe side effects nor a high risk for abuse and addiction. Certain prescription drugs can cause hallucinations, weight gain, sexual dysfunction, birth defects, and tendon ruptures.

Most people don’t see any side effects when they used CBD oil for pain management and if they do, it’s mostly just an upset stomach, changes in appetite, or drowsiness. It may just depend on how they consume CBD tinctures for pain in general. For example, certain people may find more success with CBD oil drops than they do with rapid relief cream.

One of the main reasons that using CBD for pain relief is so effective is that our body is particularly receptive to this compound. Our bodies have something called an endocannabinoid system, or ECS, which plays a vital role in regulating our pain levels. When we ingest CBD tinctures for pain, those external compounds manipulate the ECS and reduce pain, decrease inflammation, promote homeostasis.

Even though CBD is non-psychoactive and the positive effects of using CBD drops for chronic pain are obvious, it is still heavily linked to marijuana. So with marijuana still not federally legal, many research studies have been placed on hold or flat-out rejected. This prevents us from having it certified as an official treatment method by the FDA and has lead to a few legal complications in certain states. For years now, people have been sharing their success stories of using CBD for treating serious conditions such as Crohn’s Disease, autism, epilepsy, and even slowing down the growth of cancerous tumors. But until we are able to finally proceed with the official research studies, it won’t be recognized, at least federally, as a valid treatment method.

This has been somewhat disappointing because the studies that have been approved, along with individuals’ experiences, have shown that CBD can even help with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Other than that, it has shown to treat people struggling with PTSD, anxiety, schizophrenia, chronic acne, addiction, multiple sclerosis, and certain autoimmune disorders. In general, CBD and pain relief are heavily correlated.
